Bringing your dog home for the first time can be a nerve-racking experience. Instead of Dr Google let us guide you around finding the right vet for your family and understanding what to expect at your first visit. We will provide you with everything you need to know about vaccinations (what, why and when), fleas, ticks, worming and desexing.
Now you understand the foundations of good veterinary care and how and why to protect your dog from nasties we will take you through all thing’s nutrition and dental care. How to introduce new food, puppy feeding including, how much, how often and when to worry, along with different nutrition requirements for your dog’s life stages. Good dental care is so important to the overall health of our dogs. We will share dental care tips, how to prevent serious issues, homecare and when to see a vet.
Dog parents this module is going to help you understand more about what your furry family member is trying to communicate with you and what socialization they need to thrive. We cover how dogs’ communicate and socialise, body language, leadership and guidance and calm touch and handling. Don’t be left guessing, get off on the right foot and really understand more about the unique nature of canine communication and socialisation.
Training should be fun, not frustrating. . We have the most important training tips for you including, how to teach new behaviour, the secret to getting your dog to listen, sit, down,stay and come when called. Following and practicing these training tips will make your dog parenting experience so much more enjoyable.
This module will go through the most common questions and challenges we face as dog owners. We look at what to expect, what is generally considered normal and most importantly what to do. We can make sure you get off to the right start with toilet training for puppies, tips and tricks for biting, mouthing and chewing, and guide you through digging, jumping and barking behaviours with our older dogs.
As our dog’s grow, develop and age new behaviours may arise. In this module we cover off some of the most frequently occurring behavioural concerns. These include, inappropriate toileting,weeing when approached, separation concerns, storm and noise sensitivities, fear, anxiety and phobias, aggression and reactivity. We will also guide you around when it is best to see a veterinarian.

Serena Dean


Serena is a passionate veterinary expert with a special interest in animal behaviour. She has been in the industry for 22 years holding positions as a senior Veterinary Nurse in both emergency and general practice before moving into education, leadership and senior management.

She has worked for some of Australia’s largest and most recognisable veterinary and welfare organisations and is one of the leading consultants in animal behaviour, training and program development. Serena provides behaviour services and has created programs nationally and internationally.

Dr. Peter Elliott


Dr Peter Elliot has worked as a veterinarian for over 33 years and is now sharing all his knowledge and experience with our Your PetPA clients. Before starting with Your PetPA, Dr Peter had worked briefly in South Australia before moving to Queensland where he has been for the past 30 years running one of the largest General Small animal clinics on the Gold Coast.

His passion for caring for animals is undeniable with his favourite area of work being geriatric medicine. Since starting with Your Pet PA, Dr Peter has loved being able to help pet owners without the stress of needing to go into clinic.
When not working, Dr Peter enjoys being outside, camping, kayaking, cycling and spending time with his dog!

Dr. Lachlan Campbell

Dr Lachlan has been in the industry for over 13 years and worked as a vet in various parts of Queensland. On top of his 18 years industry experience both as a vet and vet nurse, Lachlan has also visited South Africa and taken part in a capture and relocation program. After spending 2 years working as a vet in the UK he returned to Australia and became a veterinary manager overseeing more than 50 clinics throughout Queensland. Prior to starting at Your PetPA Lachlan thoroughly enjoyed performing soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries and has been admitted, through examination, to be a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists. Despite having a passion for small animal surgery, Lachlan has a keen interest in all aspects of veterinary medicine including ultrasonography, preventative medicine, wellness care and advice.

With all of Lachlan’s experience he can provide quality advice and education to his clients which means they leave with a thorough understanding on exactly how to care for their pet no matter the age, breed, or sex

Our launch foundation memberships are only $99 for access for the entire year!  Not only will you get access to the online course, but we will be with you for an entire year answering your questions and providing you will additional monthly live sessions.

After our foundation memberships the course and membership will cost $149 for the year.

You will have exclusive access to this course for 12 months.

We encourage family participation! Each enrolment will be provided with one log in to access the course.  All members of your family are welcome to access the course, resources, community and join our live monthly sessions.

Live sessions will be held once a month with details provided the month prior.  We will post a poll in our Facebook community to select the most popular time for the monthly topic.  A range of days and times both inside and outside business hours with some evenings will be scheduled.  Days and times will change over the year to ensure everyone can attend as many ‘live’ sessions as possible.

All sessions are recorded so if you can’t make the live session you can watch in your pet parent portal at a time and day that suits you.
