Pawsitive Pet Parenting Terms and Conditions

Pawsitive Pet Parenting is an online self-paced course membership for pet owners provided to you by My Pet PA Pty Ltd ACN 649 066 473 trading as Your Pet PA (‘YPP’).

The course membership allows members to access the self-paced online course for 12 months. 


  1. Access to the Pawsitive Pet Parenting course is valid for 12-months from the date of purchase, known as the Annual Membership.
  2. The Annual Membership is limited to the immediate family of the client pet nominated by the member.
  3. Details of inclusions will be available at all times on the YPP website.

Cancellations and refunds

Please choose online courses carefully before competing your order, as no refunds, credits or transfers are available for online courses and memberships.


  1. Pet Health Advice refers to any non-prescriptive advice provided to consumers as guidance on care and maintenance of a pet through the Site.
  2. Services refers to pet health guidance provided by veterinarians, veterinary nurses or consultants through the Site and using our online courses and teleconference facilities.

All advice is general in nature and does not:

  1. Information presented on the Site and provided as part of the Services is of a general nature and is not intended to be medically prescriptive or a substitute for professional pet or veterinary healthcare or advice.
  2. Information presented on the Site and provided as part of the Services is not a substitute for professional health, or other advice and is in no way intended to be used or relied upon to diagnose or treat the health condition of any animal, as a prognosis of any health condition or as pet owner consent or authorisation. Always consult an appropriate health professional before relying on any information provided on the Site or in a Service.
  3. Information presented on the Site and provided as part of the Services is not a substitute for professional behaviour advice or training and is in no way intended to be used or relied upon to diagnose or treat a behavioural condition or training need of any animal, or as pet owner consent or authorisation. Always consult an appropriate health professional before relying on any information provided on the Site or in a Service.
  4. Documents and graphics published on the Site may include inaccuracies or typographical errors.
  1. You accept that recommendations as to diagnosis, treatment, training and best standards of practice are constantly evolving in the veterinary industry and in relation to pet health, and that opinions between professionals may differ from one another.
  2. YPP intends to provide the Services by online course and teleconference facilities and not at or from a physical veterinary clinic or training facility. You hereby acknowledge and accept the limitations and risks of providing information relating to a pet that has not had a physical examination.
  3. You agree that any advice provided by our qualified veterinarians and veterinary nurses is limited in the absence of a hands-on examination. You accept that YPP cannot be held liable for any damage or loss arising from your reliance on advice derived by use of the Site or Services in such circumstances.
  4. You acknowledge that any information, guidance or advice provided under the Services is of a general nature only and do not constitute activities or services that are defined as a ‘veterinary service’, ‘veterinary practice’, act of ‘veterinary science’, ‘veterinary treatment’ or any other activities or services regulated under any Veterinary Surgeons Board guidelines or veterinary legislation or regulations in Australia or anywhere else in the world, and is not intended to be provided in accordance with recognised pet health standards or practice.
  5. You agree that no bona fide Veterinarian-Client-Patient-Relationship (“VCPR”) exists or is established in connection with the Site or use of the Services. You agree that a VCPR is only established with a hands-on visit to your veterinarian.
  6. You should never disregard medical advice received from your primary veterinarian(s) because of information provided to you by our veterinarians or online course content on the Site or through the Service.
  7. The Service is not an emergency service, it is to be used for general advice only and is not intended to replace a physical examination by a veterinarian. If you are in need of emergency assistance, you should take your pet to the nearest emergency veterinary practice. Such emergency conditions that need immediate hands on care and are not suitable for online advice include but are not limited to:
    • Pale to White or purple to blue gum colour
    • Collapsed
    • Straining to urinate or defecate
    • Unable to walk normally
    • Exposure to/eaten any toxins
    • Heat exhaustion
    • Recurring Seizures
    • Severe pain, bleeding or broken bones
    • Breathing difficulties
    • Trouble giving birth
    • Profuse Vomiting, or Diarrhoea
    • Severe Abdominal pain or bloating
    • Recent Trauma e.g. hit by car
    • Snake or Paralysis Tick bite
  1. You may not record, by video or audio, in whole or in part, any element of the online course or live sessions.
  1. You agree that the behaviour of your pet is your responsibility and any information, advice or recommendation acted on is done so at your own risk.
  2. YPP is not liable for any misinterpretation or misunderstanding of information, advice or recommendation within the online course and membership.
  3. Members can contact the Pawsitive Pet Parenting support team ([email protected]) or seek your own independent advice about these terms and conditions.


To the maximum extent permitted by law, YPP will not be liable for any loss, cost, damage, expense, or claim arising from any information, advice or recommendation in the Pawsitive Pet Parenting online course, live sessions or community, including information, advice or recommendation from a third party.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, YPP will not be liable for any loss, cost, damage, expense, or claim arising from any failure, default, or delay in the supply of services or the membership benefits to members if, and during the period in which, such failure, default, or delay is caused by events or circumstances beyond YPP’s reasonable control.

If such circumstances occur, YPP may elect to suspend all or part of the supply of services or benefits to members or terminate the Pawsitive Pet Parenting membership on notice to members.

YPP does not warrant that the Pawsitive Pet Parenting online course or any of the membership benefits will be available to members at any particular time or on an ongoing basis. Subject to compliance with applicable law, YPP may otherwise elect to discontinue the Pawsitive Pet Parenting online course and membership at any time on notice to members. Subject to the non-excludable provisions of the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010) and any other non-excludable term implied by law, the benefits and services are provided on an “as-is” basis without warranties of any kind (including the availability of any of the services provided), either express or implied, and YPP excludes all warranties, representations and liability of any kind (including in negligence) in connection with the benefits and the services.

Testimonials, feedback and comments

You consent to YPP using your testimonials, feedback or comments and or likeness in our marketing collateral.  YPP will not identify you by name unless you have given us permission to do so.  Should you wish to revoke any information you have provided contact the Pawsitive Pet Parenting support team [email protected].

Direct Marketing

We may send you direct marketing communications to keep you informed about products and services we provide and other products and services that may be of interest to you (including products and services offered by My Pet PA Pty Ltd suppliers and contracted third parties) via email, SMS, social media, or regular mail.

If you have indicated a preference for a method of communication, we will endeavour to use that method wherever practical to do so.

We acknowledge and respect our customers’ choice to “opt-out” of direct marketing communication activities from us. You may opt out of direct marketing communications at any time by contacting us on 1300 473 872 or by emailing [email protected].

You can also unsubscribe from emails by clicking the unsubscribe link on email communication you have received.


Members must comply with these terms at all times during any membership period.  In addition to any other rights under these terms, if a member breaches these terms then YPP may notify the member of such breach in writing.  If the breach is not remedied in the timeframe required by YPP (acting reasonably), then YPP may terminate the membership.

Security Policy

YPP has engaged Stripe as the payment gateway service provider to secure all aspects involving customer payment by credit cards. Transactions are processed through the secure Stripe payment facility.

YPP does not store credit card details. All customer credit card information is securely submitted and processed entirely on specialised Stripe systems.

YPP collects personal information to purposefully conduct our business and services as an e‑commerce organisation. Any personal information we collect, is done so when you perform a transaction on our website, register, subscribe to our membership plans or contact us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further details on how we collect, use and protect personal information.

Third party sites

During online transactions we do not collect your credit card or banking details as online payments are handled by Stripe and CBA. Please see and websites for details of their privacy policies and security measures.

YPP’s website or communications may also contain links to websites which are owned or operated by other parties. You should make your own enquiries as to the privacy policies of these parties. We are not responsible for information on, or the privacy practices of, any third party websites.


These terms are governed by the laws in force in New South Wales, Australia.  You irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia and any courts which may hear appeals from those courts.

Invalidity of any provisions in these terms does not affect any other provisions.  Any delay or failure by YPP to enforce any rights under these terms does not constitute waiver.

YPP collects, stores, uses, and discloses personal information we receive from you or third parties in connection with the Pawsitive Pet Parenting online course and membership in accordance with YPP’s Privacy Policy .

YPP may from time to time make changes to these terms and will use reasonable endeavours to bring those changes to your attention.  Your continued use of the membership benefits means after a change to the terms has been notified to members means that you have accepted any changes that have been made (subject to your cancellation right above). You are responsible for ensuring that the contact details we have for you are correct and up to date.
